Laboratory BEAKER Characteristics
The beakers come in different sizes and are usually cylindrical with a nozzle for pouring liquids. They are specifically used to contain, mix, stir, and heat liquids. The beakers are made of tempered glass.
Any experiment that produces a liquid product uses a beaker to trap the liquid. Beakers are also used for experiments such as chromatography.
Due to their optimal balance between thermal resistance and mechanical resistance due to the controlled wall thickness at the sides, radius and bottom, they are widely used in research, industry and education. They are basically ideal for heating. It has characteristics such as a high melting point, resistance to strong acids, alkalis and thermal shock.
