Introducing your baby or toddler to a swimming course at an early age will help them learn how to react to being in the water and is an excellent start to developing an important life skill. You or your child can be safer at the beach and pool by enrolling in a Baby Swim course. Many of these courses are offered free of charge.

Children as young as six months old can start learning the swimming skills they save in an environment where they feel more comfortable. These courses provide your little ones with the survival and self-rescue techniques they need to stay safe in the water.

While teaching techniques can vary greatly for children’s swimming classes for children 6 months to 1 year old, and toddler swimming classes for children 2 and 3 years old, it is never too early to start taking survival swimming classes.

The Free Baby Swimming Courses are taught by qualified instructors with a very good didactic preparation to work with children from 6 months to 1 year old and from 2 to 5 years old.

Instructors for these courses generally have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience and must be certified in CPR/First Aid and must also pass a national background check and extensive screening process before they can practice.

The Free Baby Swim Course generally uses one-on-one lessons with gentle encouragement and sequential learning to allow each student to quickly grasp the ability to be safe in and around water.

What are the Baby Swimming Courses ?

A Baby Swimming Course is a training and coaching program in swimming for young children. The Baby Swim Course is designed to help babies and young children become comfortable in and around water.

During the Infant Swim Course, toddlers learn fundamental skills such as water entry, water adjustment, breath control, flotation, and front and back stroke. This course also teaches babies how to avoid a fall into a pool and how to turn around and get to the wall if they end up in the water.

Instructors create a positive and engaging learning environment by using songs, games, and other fun activities to teach your baby important water safety skills and establish a healthy partnership with water.

A parent or guardian is required to be in the water with each child. The course begins by teaching basic skills. The instructor will develop these skills to increase the child’s stamina and teach new water skills appropriate to the child’s age and readiness. In this course parents will also learn important water safety techniques.
