What are the Gardening Courses ?

A Gardening Course is a study and training program that combines real work experience with lectures, internships and demonstrations, leading students to gain knowledge in the area of gardening.

It includes the study of outdoor plant production, greenhouse and protected plant production, recreational and decorative horticulture, the growth, development and care of plants and pests, diseases and disorders, and gardening theme exhibitions.

The Gardening Course will train its students to perform technical procedures relevant to planting, construction work, excavation, irrigation and drainage work, land stabilization work, as well as use and storage of different types of soil and substrates.

They will be able to carry out tasks independently, taking into account the protection of nature and the environment, giving due consideration to health and safety at work, the use and maintenance of machinery, tools and work equipment, and care of the soil.

There are several courses available on a wide range of aspects of gardening; the topics available vary from region to region. Day and evening courses are available, as well as distance learning and online courses.
