Some colleges offer accelerated bachelor’s degree programs that you can complete in three years or less. In many cases, accelerated bachelor’s degree programs will require you to take classes during the summer and winter sessions, in addition to the typical load of fall and spring semester courses.

A bachelor’s degree is a post-secondary degree. Historically, the term “bachelor’s degree” meant a traditional four-year studies.

Generally, only 30 to 36 credits (10 to 12 courses) will be in your major area of study. A bachelor’s degree remains the standard for entry into many professional careers. Earning a bachelor’s degree may be the ticket to a more promising career.
