A bedroom with four lime walls can create too much vitality and visually overwhelm you instead of creating a sense of relaxation, due to the amount of yellow energy in the green.

It might work well in a girl’s bedroom when placed on a pink accent wall in the room, as pink reproduces its complementary relationship to lime. Another way to use lime in the bedroom is to combine it with an opposite shade on the color wheel, such as magenta, to reduce it by a notch or two.

While many shades of green work best in bedrooms or bathrooms, bedrooms painted with yellow greens, such as lime green, may not be as relaxing as those using other shades of green.

To help your mind relax enough to unwind and sleep, add touches of light blue and green to the room to offset the high energy impact of lime green. If you still want to use lime green in the bedroom, add white to clarify the effects of yellow on your psyche and emotions. Or temper it by adding various shades of white and green with painted stripes to the lime green room wall.
